This is the original score for Alexandra Busgang's film "Los Angeles: An Enquiry Into The Nature Of Ideals". The soundtrack takes a minimalist approach, and often blurs the lines between music and sound design. Instrumentation includes toy (baby) piano, analog synthesizer and found sounds. This release also features extra tracks and alternate mixes.

About the film:
As the birthplace of cinema, Los Angeles feeds and projects an image of the Hollywood dreamscape that is consumed and reproduced all over the world. Meanwhile, there is a strong denial of issues of ecology and land use, which is becoming more critical as houses get bigger and properties grow. While early modern architects aimed to create a new language of architectural forms, the call for new architecture has exploded into sites of aesthetic waste, where whole homes are remodeled or demolished in pursuit of the “new”. The aesthetic economy that fuels these communities in Los Angeles, disallows mention of issues of ecology and land use, sublimating the land into an artificial oasis and creating massive amounts of waste.
